HELLO WORLD, IT'S BEEN AWHILE!
BUT FRET NOT, BECAUSE THE ERICA LIVES!
Yes. I am back to blog about my not so exciting existence here in school/home/geylang or wherever i may be. (:
Now what made me come
crawling typing back here to this dusty, desolate, online interstice that is my blog (and why I may speaking in such a manner), one may wonder..

right. the last time i updated I was on holiday and livin it up.
now, i'm on holiday (again) and so not livin it up.
It's insane to give us such a short holiday so close to CHRISTMAS week, there's just too many events and too much homework, neither makes for a happy Erica.
Bleah.
However, i have a few things on my agenda:
I am now another year older (as of 3rd Dec 2008) Thank you everyone for the well wishes and presents (: esp ABCD for a wonderful day.
Secondly, happy belated birthday to Noel! Now you are another year older too!
Thirdly, in case i go off on another long hiatus and only return in the year 2163. FELIZ NAVIDAD everyone, enjoy yourselves this festive season. May Santa Claus be especially generous this year. And don't get too drunk.
Lastly, to any sorry soul who actually has the time to read this, my apologies for not updating. My apologies again for this nonsense I've just posted. But believe me when i say: I lead an exceptionally boring life that can put even insomniacs to sleep. Hence the crap you now read.
Alright. It is time to return to page one of social psychology.

whee! i played air hockey, some simpsons pinball game, and sat on this crazy spinning twirly playground thingamajig that almost killed me and intan. needless to say, we lived to see yet another day. (:
but that was yesterday.
today it is 9th October 2008 3.11 pm and sch is gna start in like 3.5 days?
and that. REALLY. SUCKS.

so no, i am not looking forward to getting back to sch :/

soo.. I was telling Carolyn about raffles place hawker centres like lau pa sat and how there are so many tables there but I could not get a seat because they are occupied by tissue paper packets and umbrellas!* srsly. There can be tables with 7 seats and a tissue paper packet on each seat.
*For you swa kus out there who do not understand why, tissue paper packets and umbrellas are used to "Chop" or reserve seats in Singapore (esp at raffles place area).
And thus ensued the following hilarious convo:

I remember some priest saying this during one of the novena nights at church..
and how true it is. as seen in the first F1 night race tonight.
Mr 15 on the grid- Fernando Alonso, came in first today! and Massa the predicted winner came in 13 (last as the others were out).
Main reason for what the commenters labeled "a catastrophic mistake" was Massa's team releasing him out of the pit stop when the refueling pipe was still stuck in his car. After which it was left dragging on the ground behind him for the next 200 metres plus? Massa pulled back into the end of the pit stop, and his team ran over to help him. Costing him ALOT of time and ultimately the entire race. What's worse was he got in the way of another driver hence landing him a 10 sec penalty D:
Also at that time (if i remeber correctly) Piquet crashed, bringing out the safety cars.. resulting in a a total turn of the F1 race. I'm not sure how this works but Alonso ended up in second place behind Nico Rosberg. And after Rosberg pulled in for a tire change Alonso took first position and had a comfortable lead over Rosberg and Hamilton for the remaing 5 laps or so.
And so. ALONSO TOOK THE CHECKERED FLAG, TAKING FIRST PLACE WITH 1:57:16:304!
i was hoping for ferrari to win and alonso to get at least top 7 but this was totally unexpected.
FERRARI WAS SUCH A LET DOWN ): esp kimmi who crashed near the end. i wna slap him! he was ferrari's last hope and he almost had top 5! dammit.
but oh wells.. like father said: the first shall be last and the last first.
mannn. that was probably THE most DRAMATIC race in F1 HISTORY.
AAAAND. it happened in SINGAPORE! ((:
there's still more F1 in the next 5 yrs. hopefully it'll be as interesting yea!

hello again, it's been awhile.
well, i've been listening to the soundtrack of les choristes for the whole day (: the music's really really nice! and so is the film.
mann if scc would sing those pieces.. that'd be ultra cool.
maybe just add a few jesus or jesu to fool people into thinking it's a hymn haha.
but seriously. go catch it if you have the time.
soo.. i was talking to intan about vector art.
never had much success in that area. I tried doing that silhouette with circles and bright coloured thingys some time ago.. failure. haha.
so since i have abt 2 wks plus i decided to practice vector-ing.
and so far i have a rubberduck and a piggybank. hahaha.

kay, other than the above.. i got my results back D:
disappointed. didn't hit my 3.5 target.
of course i got the usual "why no As?" "you better pull up your socks next sem."
but overall i suppose it's not that bad. It's not that great but it's not that bad either.
On a lighter note i did not fail any module (:
and that is a huge relief.
okay! next sem must work hard! 3.75! godhelpme.

Started with waking up to Denise's call haha. Then i went back to St Nicks to wish the teachers HAPPY TEACHERS' DAY and catch
up with old friends (:

After a couple hours of much
-missed conversation and a very satisfying meal. we decided... IT STILL WASN'T ENOUGH! haha. so we went shopping in town! :D and i bought a starry scarf and I WILL SAVE UP FOR THAT UBER CUTE MONSTER BAG! I WILL I WILL I WILL!
aaaaaand... as if a morning of hugging and screaming and cam whoring, and an afternoon of shopping and lunching wasn't enough...
I WENT FOR BAYBEATS with stacey, elaine, vanessa, pauline, and rachel! and mannnn it ROCKED. made me wna have my own band and rock out at esplanade too.
please forgive the lousy photo quality, i only had my lousy phone to rely on and we were riddiculously far from the stage. ): and zooming made the pictures so blur the lead singer looked like he had two heads.

And FINALLY.. after force vomit were done singing "don't give up, siti, don't give up." (or that's what i thought they were singing), TYPECAST CAME ON!!!!! the best band in this year's line up in my opinion. you should have seen/heard them. head-banging-chest-thumping-makes-you-go-crazy AWESOME.

what's with the emo posts these days?
i dunnnoo.
so i'm gna post something happy today. ((:
was on the mrt coming back from raffles place today to sign a contract for my part time holiday eater/job.
and sitting in the mrt on my way back i was thinking of how i was doing the exact same thing 5 days ago after my job interview.
just that ELAINE entered the EXACT SAME cabin as me and sat RIGHT BESIDE ME.
i was shocked! haha. for a second.
the next second i was slapping her arm.
and the next second we were screaming and hugging.
i miss that babe SO much.
hopefully i will see her again back at sn on fri.
mann. make fri come sooner!
did i mention i was going back to sn on fri?
